Travel Insurance - “Get Suitable Travel Insurance Before You Go Away”
Before you travel overseas we advise that you get some travel insurance!
Whilst you are travelling it is possible that things could go wrong and you could
fall ill or have an accident, you could have money or luggage stolen, your
travels might be cancelled / cut short through injury or illness. All these risks
can be covered by a travel insurance policy & without this if anything happens,
the cost incurred could run into the thousands very quickly indeed.
Tips For Buying UK Travel Insurance Service
1. If you are planning to travel abroad on more than a single occasion in a year then
you will almost certain save money by buying an annual multi-trip - travel insurance
policy rather than a single travel insurance policy each time you go.
2. Try and Understand the different policies for different travellers. There are single-
trip, annual, backpacker, worldwide, ski and winter sports, and other specialty travel
insurance policies. When you decide on a policy, make sure you know what activities
it doesn't cover, such as particular sports (e.g., base jumping).
3. Before you automatically include baggage cover in your travel insurance, think about
whether you are already covered under your home contents insurance. Also be aware
that it can be extremely hard to claim for items lost or stolen when abroad.
4. Make sure you have the correct international phone number for your travel insurance
company, along with a copy of your policy, with you at all times. Your wallet is not always
a good place to keep this information, as it could well be one of the items that gets lost
or stolen and you need to claim for!
Types Of UK Travel Insurance
There are two main types of travel insurance, regular travellers can consider (AMT)
